We can provide you with a simple PA for your small gig in a pub, or a large one for your theatre show. Private or Corporate is no problem. Our systems usually come with conventional floor monitors, but from 2013 we can offer a full in-ear monitor system, like everyone uses on TV nowadays.

One of the biggest problems facing bands who play in smaller venues is that if they have drums, guitar, bass and keyboards, then the volume on stage before the PA is turned on is already very high. Add the PA and the band start to have problems hearing each other. Floor monitors are the usual solution, but make the stage even louder. Many people are now starting to be concerned about this volume - not because it’s loud (which it always is) but because the damage to hearing from loud sound is now being better understood, and many musicians want to preserve their hearing. Our new digital system enables each musician to have their monitor mix delivered directly to their ears using radio packs, if they need to move about, or by a simple cable for the drummers and keyboard player. Each musician gets their own mix from a small mixer that can be clipped to a microphone stand. Each person can then hear exactly what they want - no longer does the singer have to have the drums, but can have the keyboard and the guitar - or maybe the bass player ONLY want drums, and none of the keys? All these things can now be balanced before the gig starts and then adjusted each song if necessary.

We supply everything except the small in-ear headphones. Any of the popular ones that provide good sound isolation are fine - although we recommend the Sennheisers, and use the CX-300 II’s ourselves, as their bass response is very good.

If bands really want to have a quiet stage, we even have a Yamaha DT Express electronic kit available.

We have 3 sizes of PA available, ranging from 1500W systems with subs and tops to 6K systems with three way crossovers and tri-amping, and for really tiny venues we always have some smaller systems with speakers on tripods.

Apart from our new digital systems we have a large range of analogue mixers, with or without effects, from simple 6 channel systems up to large format, flightcased Yamaha 32 channel desks. Our digital systems use simple Ethercon cabling, or we have conventional large mutlicore systems. To go with our quest for digits this year we’re using Line 6 XD-V70 handheld systems, which are modelling microphones and can sound like your favourite Shure, Sennheiser or Audix microphones. For drums we have specialist drum mic sets that remove the need for loads of ugly mic stands.

We will deliver and setup our systems and we can operate it for you, or we’ll assist your own sound people.
