Post Production Services

After the event is complete, we can produce for you a complete CD or DVD package. The normal system would be to simply charge this time out as in a conventional studio, and this service is always available, however, for some projects we have a new and exciting partnership offer that reduces the cost to virtually zero!

How does this work? It’s a new way to look at copyright. Traditionally, copyright protects the owner from having their ‘property’ used without permission. In our new shared system, you retain your copyright, but we agree to share it so that we too can market it to a wider audience. Unsigned bands typically sell a few hundred CDs or DVD - perhaps not even that, by selling them to fans at gigs, or by selling them on-line from their own web site. These sales would continue with the shared copyright system, but we would also attempt to market the product - and by access to other band’s material the prospect for compilation and other releases is gained. The system is very simple - we edit and mix your product deferring the charge, and we split the profit after the production costs. If you sell 100 Cds, we would receive from you, 25% of the net profit. Equally, if we sell any of your products, we would pay you 25% of our net profit. If the band or ourselves sell extra products, we all benefit. If sales simply dry up, then the band got the mix and/or edit for free!

Shared Copyright

We would include the material in our show reels, on Youtube and on our web site, giving your band more exposure.

Not all music styles will be suitable for us to market, but if yours fits our portfolio, then this is a winning proposition for many bands.

In practice, all we’d charge for the post production would be the physical products - so the cost of DVDs, printing and duplication - that’s it. Depending on how many you want, the typical cost for a CD or DVD is roughly 2-3 pounds each, and you can sell them for around a tenner!

We appreciate that it’s quite possible neither of us will sell very many at all - and if so, we accept it. All it will have cost us is time.

How is it monitored?
