Who are you?
A newly qualified teacher or a seasoned professional suddenly presented with BTEC for the first time?
It doesn’t matter if you are totally new to BTEC or new to teaching - starting a BTEC programme can be scary. You have the specification, and the units you will teach - but what exactly do you do?
Where are you?
A school just starting vocational subjects, or an established centre with all new staff? In a busy city, or a small country town - it makes no difference. You need people who understand your needs who can help.
Facilities?
Do you have a brand new performance or studio space, or are you making do in an old, cold Victorian building?
Do you have the correct equipment, but don’t know how to use it? Or maybe you have to produce the list of equipment you need. Possibly, you have no idea where to even start.
What can we do for you?
If you need help and advice about the specification, or planning the programme, Edexcel have excellent training services - so they should be your contact. What they cannot do is train your staff with the industry skills they lack. Do you have few or even no skills in the areas you will be expected to teach? Maybe you need to teach your students lighting, sound, musical theatre, dance or stage management - we can train you in these missing skill areas.
We don’t sell equipment, and can act as unbiased consultants when you need to purchase equipment, or design your spaces.
Maybe you need to use ladders and access equipment and need training - we do this too .
